ABOUT GRAND LAKE SKIJORING
Grand Lake Skijoring is a 501c3, Colorado-based event organization dedicated to bringing the excitement of skijoring, Western heritage, and mountain recreation to the Grand Lake community.
Our mission is to create a world-class winter event that celebrates the unique combination of horses, skiing, competition, and Colorado's Western culture while bringing people together from across the state and beyond.
Grand Lake Skijoring is more than a sporting event. We are committed to creating a positive economic and community impact by attracting visitors, supporting local businesses, providing opportunities for local vendors and sponsors, and showcasing Grand Lake as a premier Colorado winter destination.
Through partnerships with local businesses, community organizations, sponsors, competitors, and volunteers, we strive to build an event that grows each year while maintaining the character and traditions that make Grand Lake special.
Our vision is to establish Grand Lake Skijoring as one of Colorado's premier winter sporting and Western cultural events—an annual tradition that competitors, families, visitors, and the Grand Lake community look forward to every year.

What is Skijoring?
A horse. A rider. A skier. One incredible team.
Skijoring combines the speed of skiing with the power of horses and the traditions of the American West.
Teams race through a challenging course featuring gates, jumps, and obstacles—all at incredible speeds.
Where is Grand Lake Skijoring?
For 2027 Grand Lake Skijoring will take place at the historic Winding River Ranch in Grand Lake, Colorado. Nestled in the gateway to Rocky Mountain National Park.

NO OUTSIDE ALCOHOL
Outside alcoholic beverages are not permitted on event grounds. Please enjoy beverages responsibly from our designated Beer Garden and approved event vendors.
NO DOGS
For the safety of our competitors, horses, spectators, and staff, dogs and other pets are not permitted on event grounds including service animals
NO DRONES
For the safety of competitors, horses, spectators, and staff, unauthorized drones and unmanned aircraft are strictly prohibited anywhere over or around the event grounds. Only event-authorized aerial operations are permitted.
